We have been hosting the NewSpace Business Plan Competition since 2009. Our goal has always been to support the best startups out there, offering sponsored cash prizes and other incentives from the industry. We have hosted 21 of these events to date, both at live stage space conferences, and, starting in 2021, virtual meeting spaces. Our Finalist participants have come from around the globe, and many have gone on to do some game-changing things. Such companies include Altius Space Machines, Skyrora, and Spire
When we started this adventure, we were literally the only game in town, when it came to pitch competitions dedicated to space companies. Today, there are many space-oriented pitch events to choose from.
But the NewSpace BPC has something those others do not. Something we call “Service after the Sale”.
Other pitch events offer participants a stage, and anywhere from 5-15 minutes to deliver their pitch. Otherwise, they are on their own. And sometimes that can look a little awkward, to be honest.
But CSCF offers online Zoom training for the virtual events, and even a 1-2 day “Bootcamp” for the live stage events to help our Finalists put their best foot forward
Other events may get more clicks, but we get the hugs from grateful Finalists, many of whom get the contacts they need to grow their businesses, and, also in many cases, get funded.

How it Works
To compete in the NewSpace Business Plan Competition, interested teams will submit an online application that includes a company Executive Summary. Our group of elite judges will review each submission, and select finalists to compete in the live, in-person shark-tank style event. Finalists teams will be contacted within 7 days of the submission deadline and given further instructions on their participation in the competition. For more information on the application process, how the competition works, submission guidelines, and team qualifications, please see our Rules.
Opportunities to succeed come from all directions.
